Diagnosis
This is almost always a faulty internal transformer or a loose component resonating within the housing, not the speakers. It's a hardware issue.
How to Fix It
Contact Ring Support for a warranty replacement. The buzzing indicates a component failure.
- In the Ring app, go to Menu > Help > Contact Us > Call Us or Start a Support Ticket.
- Have your device's serial number ready (found in Device Settings > General Settings).
- Describe the constant audible buzzing/humming from the unit itself. They will typically offer a replacement after basic troubleshooting.
If That Didn't Work
If support is unhelpful, the only other fix is a physical one: ensure the unit is mounted tightly to its junction box and all wire nuts inside the box are secure. A loose connection can sometimes cause a hum, but this is less common.
Heads Up
Before calling, perform one check: In the Ring app, go to Device Settings > Audio Settings > toggle "Audio" off. If the buzz persists with audio OFF, it confirms a hardware fault, not a speaker feedback issue.
