my hum app isn't tracking my brushing sessions even though it's connected.

— asked by Alex

Quick answer: A sync failure between the brush's stored data and the app. This often occurs after an app update or OS change on your phone.

Diagnosis

A sync failure between the brush's stored data and the app. This often occurs after an app update or OS change on your phone.

How to Fix It

1. Ensure the brush is on the charger. 2. Open the Hum app and go to Settings > Your Brush > Sync Now. 3. If no change, go to Settings > Your Brush > Remove Brush. 4. Set up the brush as a new device in the app (this does not erase your historical data, which is cloud-saved). 5. Complete a brushing session to test.

If That Didn't Work

Check your phone's app permissions. The Hum app requires Background App Refresh and Location Services (for Bluetooth) to be enabled to log sessions in the background.

Heads Up

The brush stores only your last brushing session locally. If you brush twice without the app open and syncing, the first session's data will be overwritten and lost.
