Excessive vibration is hard on you and the saw. The Husqvarna has a LowVib anti-vibration system, so something might be loose or worn.
- First, check all external fasteners. Are the bar nuts tight? Are the handles secure? Any loose bolts or screws will amplify vibration.
- Inspect the anti-vibration mounts. These are rubber dampeners located where the engine connects to the chassis. Look for cracks, tears, or deterioration. Worn mounts transfer all engine vibration directly to the handles.
- Check the clutch and drive sprocket. A worn or damaged sprocket, or a clutch with worn shoes, can cause imbalance and severe vibration.
- Ensure the chain is properly tensioned and the bar isn't bent. A loose chain or a damaged bar can create a lot of shake.
If that didn't work, internal engine issues like a failing crankshaft bearing can cause vibration, but that's less common.
Heads up: Continuous high vibration isn't just uncomfortable—it can lead to fatigue and long-term injury. Don't ignore it.
