When the printer disconnects mid-print, it is typically because the phone's operating system has deprioritized the Phomemo app in the background to save RAM, or the BLE handshake has timed out due to signal attenuation. This is frequently exacerbated by "signal noise" from 2.4GHz wireless devices. Because the D30 has a relatively small internal antenna, physical obstructions—even something as simple as your hand covering the sensor or the device being placed on a metal surface—can cause the signal-to-noise ratio to drop, triggering an automatic disconnect. You can confirm this is a connectivity issue rather than a hardware failure if the printer's status light flashes or the app displays a "Printer Disconnected" pop-up while the print head is still actively moving.
How to Fix It
To stabilize the connection and prevent mid-print drops, follow these precise calibration and settings steps:
- Clear the Bluetooth Cache: On your smartphone, go to Settings > Bluetooth. Find the Phomemo D30 in your paired devices list and select "Forget This Device." Power the printer off and then back on.
- Reset App Permissions: Navigate to your phone's App Settings > Phomemo. Ensure "Location Services" is set to "Always Allow" (required for BLE scanning on Android) and that "Background App Refresh" is toggled ON for iOS.
- Disable Battery Optimization: For Android users, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization. Find the Phomemo app and select "Don't Optimize." This prevents the OS from killing the Bluetooth process mid-print.

If That Didn't Work
