DIAGNOSIS: You didn't reset the filter indicator after replacing the filter. The reminder is on a timer, not a sensor, and it doesn't know you changed it.
FIX: Press and hold the "Filter Reset" button on the display panel for 3 seconds. The "Filter" icon or the number of days displayed should disappear, confirming the reset.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The filter may not be seated correctly. Remove it and reinstall, ensuring it clicks fully into place. Also, confirm you're using an LG-approved filter (like LT1000P). Non-OEM filters sometimes don't trigger the reset mechanism.
HEADS UP: The filter reminder is strictly time-based (every 6 months). If you have high sediment or use a lot of water, the filter may clog physically before the reminder goes off. Go by water flow, not just the light.
