my makita saw blade is wobbling and the cut is all over the place. did i install it wrong?

Yes. The blade is not mounted correctly or you're using incompatible parts. A wobbling blade is dangerous and causes loss of control.

1. Remove the battery.
2. Check the blade diameter. You must use a 165 mm (6-1/2") blade. An incorrectly sized blade affects guarding.
3. Remove the blade bolt and inspect all components. Use only the original blade washers and bolt supplied with your saw. They are specially designed for optimum performance and safety.
4. Ensure the blade's arbor hole matches the mounting hardware. Blades that do not match will run eccentrically.
5. Reinstall the blade with the teeth pointing in the correct direction of rotation (usually forward, toward the front of the saw). Tighten the bolt securely with the wrench.
6. Remove the wrench before operating the tool.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The arbor or spindle may be damaged. Do not use the saw. Have it serviced by a qualified repair person.
