DIAGNOSIS The unit has no power. The most likely cause is the thermal fuse in the base has blown. This is a safety device.
FIX Unplug the unit. Let it cool completely for at least one hour. Check the power cord is firmly seated in the base socket. Plug it into a different, known-working outlet. Flip the power switch to the 'I' position. If it remains dead, the thermal fuse has likely failed.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Confirm the problem is not the outlet or external power strip. Test another appliance in the same outlet. If the outlet is functional, the internal wiring or the power switch itself may be faulty.
HEADS UP A blown thermal fuse indicates an overheat event. Do not attempt to bypass it. The base assembly containing the fuse and heating element must be replaced as a unit by an authorized service center.
