DIAGNOSIS That display means the control lock or child safety lock is almost certainly turned on. It's a common first-day or accidental button-press issue.
FIX You just need to cancel the lock. 1) Press and hold the Stop/Clear button for about 5 seconds. You'll usually hear a beep. 2) The display should change from "0:00" or the three zeros to showing the time of day or just being blank and ready. That's it. Try to heat something for 30 seconds to confirm it's working.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If holding Stop/Clear does nothing, try unplugging the microwave from the wall outlet for a full two minutes. This performs a hard reset on the control board. Plug it back in and see if the display behaves normally. If it still shows zeros and is dead, the touchpad or main control board might have failed.
HEADS UP The control lock can get activated by accidentally holding the Stop/Clear button down during cleaning or if something leans against the panel. It's a safety feature, not a defect.
