DIAGNOSIS Yeah, this one's common. The E2 error code on these units specifically means the water bucket is full, or the sensor thinks it's full. It's the unit's way of telling you to empty it, even if you just did.
FIX First, obviously, pull the bucket out completely and empty it. The trick is to make sure you re-seat it perfectly. Slide it back in firmly until you hear a solid click. If it still shows E2 after that, unplug the unit for a full 60 seconds. This resets the sensor board. Plug it back in and it should clear.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If E2 persists, check the float sensor inside the bucket compartment—it's a little plastic arm. Make sure it's not physically stuck in the 'up' position by a bit of debris or a crooked bucket. Gently press it down a few times to free it up.
HEADS UP The sensor is super sensitive. If the bucket isn't pushed in absolutely straight and all the way, it'll trip the error. Take an extra second to line it up before you shove it home.
