You need to reassemble the jar correctly. First, make sure the rubber gasket is seated properly on the cutting assembly.
Then, place the locking ring on top. Engage the threads by twisting it clockwise until it's very tight. A loose locking ring is the main cause of leaks.
Finally, turn the assembled jar right side up before you place it on the motor base. The handle should be to one side and the markings facing you.
