Diagnosis
The front-panel LED display has no independent brightness control in the standard menu. It times out after a few seconds, but the initial flash can be disruptive.
How to Fix It
You can disable the display entirely. Press and hold the 'Volume -' and 'Volume +' buttons on the remote simultaneously for 3 seconds. The display will turn off. Repeat to turn it back on.
If That Didn't Work
If the remote command fails, perform a factory reset (unplug, hold 'Source' and 'Volume -' on bar, plug in). This often resets the display to default 'on' state, then you can try the remote command again.
Heads Up
With the display off, you lose visual feedback for volume, source, and sound mode. You must rely on the remote and audio cues.
