Diagnosis
With no power lights at all, we're looking at an internal fuse, a failed control board, or a problem with the power cord connection inside the unit.
How to Fix It
First, double-check that the outlet is live by plugging in a lamp or phone charger. If that's good, locate the reset button. On many Friedrich models, there's a small, red reset button on the plug itself or on the lower back of the unit. Press that firmly. Then, try a different outlet if possible, making sure you're not using an extension cord, which can sometimes cause issues.
If That Didn't Work
There's an internal thermal fuse on the control board that can blow. This isn't a user-serviceable part for most folks. Your next step is to contact Friedrich customer service—they can often talk you through a simple check or set up a repair.
Heads Up
If you smell anything electrical or burnt near the unit, do not keep trying to reset it. Unplug it immediately and call for service, as there could be a more serious internal fault.
