Discard it immediately if you find any crack or chip. Protect it from sharp blows and rough handling. Don't use harsh abrasive cleaners—scratches can cause it to break. It's top-rack dishwasher safe only. Also, avoid sudden temperature changes; don't rinse a hot carafe with cold water.
