Diagnosis
A flashing red light indicates a thermal fault. The internal thermostat has tripped or failed, preventing heating to avoid damage.
How to Fix It
Unplug the styler immediately and let it cool down completely for at least 2 hours. This is a full thermal reset. After it's fully cool, plug it directly into a wall socket (no power strips) and turn it on. If the fault was due to overheating, this should clear it and the light will glow steady red while heating, then change to ready.
If That Didn't Work
If it still flashes red after a full cool-down and direct plug-in, the thermal cut-out mechanism has likely failed. This is a internal safety component that cannot be reset by the user. The unit requires professional repair.
Heads Up
This fault is often triggered by leaving the styler on and stationary for a very long time (beyond the auto shut-off), wrapping the cord around the hot plates, or using it on an unstable voltage supply like a cheap travel adapter.
