Diagnosis
This is typically a power supply issue at the unit. The cause is often the plug not being fully seated or a tripped internal thermal fuse.
How to Fix It
Unplug the power cord from the unit's rear, wait 30 seconds, and firmly reconnect it. Ensure the plug clicks into place. Next, unplug the cord from the wall outlet for 2 full minutes. This allows any internal thermal protector to reset. Plug back into the wall and try the power button.
If That Didn't Work
Test the wall outlet with another high-wattage appliance. The A018-10KR requires a dedicated 115V/15A circuit. If the outlet is good, the unit's main control board or power cord may have failed.
Heads Up
Do not use an extension cord. Using an undersized cord can cause voltage drop, preventing startup and potentially damaging the compressor.
