trying to connect my b4545t to wifi and the myq app but it just won't find it during setup. the light is solid purple.

DIAGNOSIS Solid purple means it's in Wi-Fi setup mode, but it's probably failing to handshake with your home network. This is super common with 5GHz/2.4GHz dual-band routers or certain network security settings.

FIX The opener only works on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi bands. Go into your router's settings (often via a phone app) and temporarily disable the 5GHz network, or make sure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz band before starting setup. Also, ensure your network isn't using WPA3-only security; WPA2/WPA mixed mode is usually compatible. Hold the learn button on the opener until the light blinks, then try the app setup process again.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The MyQ gateway (the Wi-Fi hub built into the opener) might need a hard reset. Unplug the opener from power for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait for it to boot fully, then try the setup from scratch, making sure you're using the latest version of the MyQ app.

HEADS UP Some mesh network systems (like certain Eero or Google Nest setups) can cause issues even on 2.4GHz. If problems persist, you might need to temporarily move the router closer to the garage or consult your router's support for IoT device connection tips.
