Diagnosis
Total silence usually points to an internal safety fuse on the main control board. These have a small fuse that can blow from a power surge or a compressor startup spike. It's a known weak point.
How to Fix It
Unplug the unit and let it sit for a few minutes. Remove the water bucket. Look on the back panel for a small, round reset button—it's usually red or black and recessed. Press it firmly with a pen. You might feel a click. That resets an internal overload protector. Plug it back in and try.
If That Didn't Work
If there's still no life, the issue is likely that internal fuse on the PCB. For this model, it's a 250V 3.15A glass fuse soldered to the board. Replacing it requires opening the case and basic soldering skills, which is where most folks call for service.
Heads Up
If the fuse blows again immediately after replacing it, you've got a bigger component failure (like a compressor short) and the unit is likely toast. Using a surge protector is a good idea with these.
