DIAGNOSIS Water is escaping from a failed internal seal or a cracked water tube. The two most common leak points are the silicone gasket where the water reservoir meets the heating chamber or the inlet hose from the reservoir to the pump.
FIX Unplug the unit. Dry it completely. Remove the water reservoir. Inspect the black silicone gasket on the bottom of the reservoir and the matching port inside the base. Ensure the gasket is seated properly and free of cracks or mineral deposits. Reassemble and run a water-only cycle while watching closely.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The leak is internal. The plastic hot water tube from the heating element to the showerhead, or the inlet tube from the pump, has likely developed a hairline crack. This requires disassembly to locate and replace the specific tube or O-ring.
HEADS UP A leak from the base is a serious electrical hazard. Stop using the unit immediately and unplug it. Water inside the chassis can short the control board or create a shock risk.
