When the device cannot reach the specific Alexa API endpoint within a few milliseconds, it triggers the "trouble connecting" voice prompt even if the Fire TV interface (Netflix, Hulu) is still functioning. The root cause is typically network congestion on the 2.4GHz band or a conflict with "Smart Connect" (band steering) on your router. Because the Cube 3rd Gen uses a high-performance dual-band chip, it can get "stuck" attempting to authenticate on a crowded 2.4GHz channel while the router is trying to force it to 5GHz.
