can i mount my LG 27UL500-W monitor on the wall?

— asked by Casey

Yes, you can wall-mount it. The monitor is designed for it, but you need the right bracket and to remove the stand carefully.

  1. Power off the monitor and disconnect all cables.
  2. Lay the monitor face down on a soft, flat surface.
  3. Locate the quick-release button or mechanism where the stand arm meets the monitor back. Press or slide it to detach the stand.
  4. You will now see the VESA mounting pattern on the back of the monitor. It's a standard 100 x 100 mm grid.
  5. Attach a VESA 100x100 compatible wall mount bracket to the back of the monitor using the four provided screws from your mount kit. Ensure they are snug but do not over-tighten.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the stand won't detach, double-check for a locking mechanism. Some models require you to press a hidden latch while pulling. Refer to the stand's quick-start guide that came in the box. The monitor without the stand weighs 4.6kg, so ensure your wall mount can support at least that weight.
