Diagnosis
The washer isn't reaching high spin speeds. This is typically caused by an unbalanced load error that cancels the high spin, a faulty motor control module, or a problem with the tachometer that reads drum speed.
How to Fix It
First, rule out user error. Are you selecting a cycle that includes a high spin? Some delicate or handwash cycles default to a very low spin speed. Try running a Spin Only or Cotton cycle with a small, balanced load (like two towels). Listen closely—if you don't hear the drum ramping up to a fast, steady hum, it's not spinning properly.
If That Didn't Work
If it's not an imbalance issue, the drain pump might be partially blocked, not removing all water before the spin starts, causing a safety cutoff. Clean the drain pump filter (front lower right panel) as described in the E16 fix. If the filter is clear, the motor brushes or the control board governing motor speed could be failing.
Heads Up
Consistently leaving sopping wet clothes in the drum can trigger mold growth and strain the suspension. If a manual Spin cycle fails, it's likely an electrical or mechanical fault, not a settings issue.
