DIAGNOSIS Standard screen cleaning, complicated by the aggressive 1000R curve which makes circular motions difficult.
FIX Power off the monitor. Use a dry, soft microfiber cloth first to remove dust. For smudges, lightly dampen a second microfiber cloth with distilled water only. Wipe the screen in vertical strokes, following the curve from top to bottom. Immediately dry with a separate dry microfiber cloth using the same vertical motion.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For stubborn marks, use a monitor-specific cleaning solution. Spray it directly onto the microfiber cloth, never onto the screen. Excess liquid can seep into the bezel edges and damage the panel.
HEADS UP Never use ammonia-based cleaners (like Windex), alcohol, or abrasive cloths. They will permanently damage the anti-glare coating on the panel. The coating is delicate.
