how do i clean the screen on this thing? the manual says to not use anything and i'm scared to damage the coating

DIAGNOSIS The monitor has a standard matte anti-glare coating that can be smeared or damaged by ammonia, alcohol, or abrasive cloths.

FIX Power off and unplug the monitor. Use a dry, soft microfiber cloth (like for glasses or camera lenses) to gently wipe away dust. For smudges, lightly dampen a second microfiber cloth with distilled water only. Wipe the screen gently without pressure. Immediately dry with the first dry microfiber cloth.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For stubborn marks, use a monitor-specific cleaning solution. Spray the solution directly onto the microfiber cloth, never onto the screen. Ensure the solution is labeled as safe for anti-glare (matte) LCD/LED screens and is ammonia- and alcohol-free.

HEADS UP Never use paper towels, tissues, or rough fabrics. They will microscratch the coating. Avoid circular wiping motions; use straight, vertical strokes to minimize the appearance of any potential streaking in the coating.
