DIAGNOSIS Normal accumulation, but wet clippings compact into a dense mat. This strains the blade disc motor and reduces cutting efficiency.
FIX Use a plastic scraper or stiff brush. Do not use metal or high-pressure water. Tip the mower back, rest it on the handle. Scrape the deck from the center outward. Remove the blade disc by unscrewing the center knob to clean underneath it thoroughly.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For chronic packing, your grass may be too tall or wet when mowing. Adjust the scheduling to mow more frequently in dry conditions.
HEADS UP Never spray water directly into the ventilation slots on the mower's sides. Water intrusion will damage the electronics and void the warranty.
