how do i get sound to come out of my innoview monitor? it has speakers but my laptop audio still plays from the laptop

DIAGNOSIS The monitor's built-in speakers aren't being recognized as the default audio output device by your computer. This is a common OS setting quirk.

FIX On Windows, right-click the speaker icon in the system tray, select "Open Sound settings," and under Output, choose the "InnoView" or "USB Audio" device. On a Mac, click the Control Center in the menu bar, click Sound, then select "InnoView" from the Output list. You usually need to be connected via USB-C for audio to route over the cable; HDMI should also carry audio.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Some devices require a driver for the audio over USB. Go to your computer's Device Manager (Windows) or System Report (Mac) and check if the USB Audio device has any errors. A simple computer restart after connecting the monitor can also force it to re-recognize the audio endpoint.

HEADS UP The speakers on these are… basic. They're fine for system sounds or a video call, but don't expect great music or movie audio. For better quality, keep audio on your laptop or use headphones.
