Use the physical Reset button on the router. This will wipe all settings.
- Locate the small Reset button on the back of the RT-AX86U.
- With the router powered on, press and hold the Reset button with a paperclip for about 5-10 seconds.
- Release the button when you see the router's power LED start to blink. The router will reboot to factory defaults.
After the reset, you will need to set up the router again as if it were new.
- Connect to its default wireless network (SSID: ASUS_XX, from the label on the back).

http://router.asus.comin a web browser or use the ASUS Router App. - Follow the setup prompts to create a new admin password and configure your Wi-Fi networks.
HEADS UP: A factory reset erases everything: your Wi-Fi names, passwords, port forwarding, and any custom settings. You will have to reconfigure it from scratch.
