how do i hard reset my asus rt-ax86u router? forgot the admin password.

Use the physical Reset button on the router. This will wipe all settings.

1. Locate the small Reset button on the back of the RT-AX86U.
2. With the router powered on, press and hold the Reset button with a paperclip for about 5-10 seconds.
3. Release the button when you see the router's power LED start to blink. The router will reboot to factory defaults.

After the reset, you will need to set up the router again as if it were new.
