Diagnosis
A software lock-up, often following a failed docking attempt or a low-battery state. A hard reset clears the volatile memory.
How to Fix It
Locate the power switch on the left side of the robot. Turn it to the 'Off' position. Wait 30 seconds. Turn the switch back to the 'On' position. The robot will chime and its indicator lights will cycle. This is a full power cycle. Place it on the charger to ensure battery recovery.
If That Didn't Work
The battery may be deeply discharged. Leave the robot on the charging dock for a minimum of 6 hours uninterrupted. The charging light on the dock must be solid blue. If the robot shows no signs of life after this, the battery may have failed.
Heads Up
Do not attempt to open the battery compartment. The battery is a sealed Li-ion pack. Replacement requires a compatible iLife W90 battery model.
