That smell is likely from old cleaning solution or water residue. Here's how to clean it properly.

1. Remove the robot from the charging station. Take the tank off the robot.
2. Fill the tank with warm water—do not use boiling water.
3. Close the cap and give the tank a light shake.
4. Rinse it out thoroughly. You might need to repeat this a few times.
5. Let the tank air dry completely before you put it back on the robot.

Prevention tip: Only use Braava jet Hard Floor Cleaning Solution. Do not use any other cleaners, as they can cause buildup and odor. If you use the solution, it's a concentrate: use 6 capfuls per tank.
