Diagnosis
The smart sensor on the brush head is dirty or obstructed, so it can’t detect floor type and adjust suction. It defaults to a low, safe mode.
How to Fix It
You need to clean the sensor window. 1) Look at the top of the motorized floor head, near the front. You’ll see a small, clear plastic window—that’s the optical sensor. 2) Turn off the vacuum. 3) Use a dry, soft cloth or a cotton swab to gently wipe that window clean. Dust and hair can build up and block the sensor’s ‘vision’. 4) While you’re there, check the roller brush and chamber for major blockages, as a severely stuck brush can also prevent the system from ramping up.
IF THAT DIDN’T WORK The floor head might not be properly attached to the vacuum stick. Detach it and firmly reattach it until you hear a solid click. A loose connection can disrupt data from the sensor. If the problem persists, there might be an internal fault in the sensor or its wiring in the head.
Heads Up
This sensor is why you shouldn’t use wet wipes or cleaners on the bottom of the floor head. Moisture or residue on that little window will absolutely mess with its ability to work properly.
