DIAGNOSIS The machine is not achieving proper pressure during the centrifugal spin. This is usually caused by a clogged injector head or a worn main seal in the brewing unit.
FIX Perform a thorough cleaning of the brew head. Power off, unplug, and let cool. Open the head. Use the provided cleaning tool or a soft brush to scrub the top of the brew chamber (the grey disc with tiny holes) and the silver puncture needle. Remove all old coffee grounds.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The rubber seal around the brewing chamber is worn or has coffee grounds stuck under it. This breaks the pressure seal. With the brew head open, inspect the large black silicone seal. Gently lift its edges and clean underneath with a damp cloth. If the seal is cracked or flattened, it needs replacement.
HEADS UP Water temperature also affects extraction. Ensure your tank is filled with cold, fresh water. The thermoblock can struggle if the tank water is already warm. Weak coffee can also mean it's time to descale.
