Diagnosis
The washable pre-filter catches large dust and hair, and it should be cleaned regularly to maintain airflow and protect the main filters.
How to Fix It
Rabbit Air recommends vacuuming the pre-filter monthly and washing it every 3 months. To wash, remove it, rinse under lukewarm water, and let it air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not use soap or detergents, as residues can affect performance.
If That Didn't Work
If the pre-filter gets damaged or doesn't seem to fit snugly after washing, it might need replacement. They're relatively inexpensive and available from Rabbit Air.
Heads Up
Always make sure the pre-filter is bone dry before putting it back. A damp filter can promote mold growth inside the unit.
