DIAGNOSIS The E1 and E2 codes are communication errors. E1 typically means the display can't talk to the main controller, and E2 often points to a problem between the controller and one of the drive motors or another module.
FIX For an E1 or E2 code, the first and most effective step is a full system reset. 1) Turn the mower off and remove the key. 2) Open the battery compartment and physically disconnect ALL battery packs. 3) Wait for at least 5 full minutes. This lets every capacitor in the system drain completely. 4) Reconnect the batteries firmly, making sure the connectors are clean and seat with a solid click. 5) Turn the key on. The error code often clears after this hard reset.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the code comes back immediately, check all the wiring harness connections you can easily access. Focus on the plugs under the seat near the controller and the connections at each drive motor. Look for any that are loose, corroded, or have damaged pins. Unplug and replug them to ensure good contact.
HEADS UP These codes can be intermittent. If a reset fixes it, pay attention to when it happens again—like after hitting a bump or when the mower is wet—which can point to a loose or failing wire.
