i keep getting a ‘prime’ message on the screen and it won’t brew, even though the tank is full.

DIAGNOSIS The ‘Prime’ message means the machine’s internal water lines have an air bubble, or the pump can’t draw water in. This often happens after moving the machine, changing the filter, or letting it sit empty for a while.

FIX You need to force water through the system. 1) Make sure the reservoir is full and firmly clicked into place. 2) Place a large mug (at least 10oz) on the tray. 3) With NO K-cup in the holder, close the handle and select the largest brew size (12oz). 4) Press brew. Let it run. You might hear gurgling as it pushes air out. Repeat this water-only cycle 3-4 times until the stream is steady and the message clears.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the pump sounds like it’s struggling (a rapid clicking), check the water filter. A new or incorrectly installed filter can block flow. Remove the filter and try priming without it. If it works, re-install the filter carefully, ensuring it’s fully submerged and seated.

HEADS UP Always refill the reservoir before it’s completely empty. Letting the pump suck air is what usually causes this prime cycle to kick in.
