DIAGNOSIS A blank screen with power (that faint hum) usually points to a tripped thermal fuse or a failed control board, often triggered by a minor power surge or overheating.
FIX First, perform a hard reset. 1) Unplug the machine from the wall outlet. 2) Wait a full two minutes. 3) While it’s still unplugged, press and hold the Power button on the front for 15 seconds (this drains any residual charge). 4) Plug it directly into a wall outlet—not a power strip or surge protector. 5) Press the Power button normally. Listen for the startup chime.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If it’s still dead, check your household circuit breaker for that outlet. Try plugging the Keurig into a different, known-working outlet in another room. If it works there, the original outlet or circuit may be the issue.
HEADS UP Never plug a Keurig into a switched outlet (one controlled by a light switch). The sudden power loss when switched off can damage the electronics.
