Diagnosis
A red blinking light indicates a critical hardware fault, most commonly related to the laser light source, the color wheel, or a severe overheating condition triggering a thermal shutdown.
How to Fix It
Perform a full power cycle. Unplug the power cable from the wall and from the back of the projector. Wait 5 minutes for all capacitors to discharge. Reconnect only the power cable directly to a wall outlet, bypassing any power strips or surge protectors. Press the physical power button once. Listen for fan spin and the normal startup chime.
If That Didn't Work
The error is persistent. Count the blink pattern. A consistent single blink may indicate a light source error. A double-blink pattern may indicate a color wheel error. You must contact XGIMI support and report the exact blink pattern. Do not attempt further disassembly.
Heads Up
This error state often follows a power surge or sudden loss of power during operation. Always use a high-quality surge protector. Ensure all ventilation areas have at least 30cm of clearance.
