Incorrect Adaptive-Sync configuration or a conflict between the monitor's refresh rate, NVIDIA control panel settings, and in-game settings. The monitor is G-Sync Compatible certified, but requires specific setup.
How to Fix It
Follow the setup checklist. 1: Use the provided DisplayPort 1.4 cable. 2: In NVIDIA Control Panel, under "Display" -> "Set up G-SYNC," check "Enable G-SYNC, G-SYNC Compatible" for full-screen and windowed modes. 3: Under "Manage 3D settings," set "Monitor Technology" to "G-SYNC Compatible." 4: In Windows Display Settings, set refresh rate to 165Hz. 5: In-game, enable VSync ON in the game's settings and set framerate limit to 3 FPS below 165 (e.g., 162 FPS).
If That Didn't Work
Update your graphics driver. Perform a clean installation using NVIDIA GeForce Experience or DDU. Then, test with the monitor's Adaptive-Sync setting. Use the OSD: Navigate to Gaming -> Adaptive-Sync and ensure it is set to On.
Heads Up
Flickering in menus or loading screens is common with Adaptive-Sync due to wildly fluctuating framerates; this is normal. If using HDMI, G-Sync Compatible may not function correctly—always use DisplayPort for this feature. Extreme flickering across the entire screen may indicate a faulty cable.
