Alternatively, if the unit is pushed flush against a wall or placed inside a tight cabinet, the hot air expelled by the fan is recirculated back into the intake, causing the compressor to hit its thermal limit within minutes of startup. You can confirm this by feeling the air coming from the rear vents; if it feels excessively hot or the airflow seems weak despite the fan spinning, the unit is overheating.
How to Fix It
To resolve the short-cycling and restore full ice production, follow these precise steps to clear the thermal block and optimize airflow:
