How to Fix It

- Prepare the Tank: Fill the water reservoir to the absolute MAX line using filtered water. Ensure the tank is seated firmly and there are no air gaps at the bottom valve.
- Clear the Tray: Remove the drip tray and the accompanying waste reservoir. Empty them completely and wipe the sensors dry with a microfiber cloth to ensure no moisture is triggering a "Full" alert during the process.
- Load the Portafilter: Insert the single-wall cleaning disc (the rubber gasket) into the portafilter basket. Place one genuine Breville cleaning tablet in the center of the disc. Ensure the disc is pushed down flat; if it is tilted, the cycle will fail.
- Lock and Seal: Insert the portafilter into the group head and lock it firmly to the right. Give it an extra nudge to ensure a tight seal against the group head gasket.
- Initiate Cycle: Navigate to the menu on the touch screen, select "Clean," and press the Start button.
