How to Fix It

Follow these precise steps to eliminate the odor and clear the internal components:

1. Power down the unit and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet completely. Wait 5 minutes for any residual electrical charge in the PlasmaWave capacitors to dissipate.
2. Open the front grille and remove the washable AOC pre-filter. Inspect the mesh for any melted fibers or trapped debris. Wash the pre-filter in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and let it air dry for at least 24 hours. Do not use a dryer.
