DIAGNOSIS Error OE indicates a drain issue. The dishwasher detected water remaining in the sump after a drain attempt.
FIX
1. Check the kitchen sink drain and garbage disposal for clogs. A blocked sink drain can back up into the dishwasher.
2. Inspect the dishwasher drain hose under the sink for kinks or obstructions.
3. Clean the dishwasher's internal drain filter assembly. Remove the lower rack, twist and lift out the cylindrical filter. Rinse all parts under running water.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The drain pump may be faulty. Listen for a humming sound when the unit tries to drain; humming without draining points to a jammed or failed pump.
HEADS UP OE often appears after a cycle is complete. If the filter is clean and the drain hose is clear, the drain pump or its electrical connections require professional service.
