The most likely cause is signal interference or poor placement. The router is too close to other electronics or in a bad spot.
- Move the router to a central location, away from metal and direct sunlight.
- Keep it away from these specific interference sources: 802.11g or 20MHz-only Wi-Fi devices, 2.4GHz peripherals, Bluetooth devices, cordless phones, transformers, motors, fluorescent lights, microwave ovens, refrigerators, and other industrial equipment.
- Orient all three antennas to a 90-degree angle.
- Always update to the latest firmware from the ASUS website.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The problem could be an overheating unit. Ensure the router is in a well-ventilated area and that the operating temperature is within the 0°C to 40°C range.
HEADS UP: Use only the original AC adapter that came in the box (+19V/2.37A or +19.5V/2.31A). A different adapter can damage the router.
