DIAGNOSIS Complete power loss usually points to a tripped internal thermal fuse, a problem with the outlet, or a failed control board.
FIX First, eliminate the easy stuff. 1. Check your circuit breaker or GFCI outlet—reset it if needed. 2. Try plugging the dehumidifier into a different, known-good outlet with nothing else on it. 3. Check the power cord carefully for any cuts, kinks, or damage near the plug or where it enters the unit. If you have power at a new outlet, the unit's internal overload protector might need to reset. Unplug it and let it sit for a full hour to cool down completely, then plug it back in.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK There's a small chance the bucket is not triggering the safety switch properly. Make sure it's clicked in all the way. Try holding the bucket in place firmly while you press the power button.
HEADS UP If it tripped a GFCI outlet, that's a serious sign. It means moisture has likely caused an electrical short inside the unit. Do not continue to reset it. Unplug it and call LG support—this is a safety issue.
