DIAGNOSIS The internal float switch, which tells the unit the bucket is full, is being triggered early. This is almost always because the bucket isn't seated perfectly or the float mechanism is stuck.
FIX 1. Unplug the unit. 2. Pull the bucket out completely. 3. Look inside the bucket compartment at the back—you'll see a small plastic float lever. Gently move it up and down with your finger a few times to make sure it's not stuck. 4. Re-insert the bucket, making sure it slides in straight and you feel a solid click at the end.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK There might be a small piece of debris or a spiderweb blocking the float's path. Use a flashlight to look at the slot where the float moves and a can of compressed air to blow it out. Don't use water.
HEADS UP Never run the dehumidifier without the bucket properly installed. If the float is faulty and doesn't trigger, it will overflow water onto your floor.
