Quick answer: The Wi-Fi module in the fryer has lost its network settings or is stuck. A router change or firmware glitch is common.

Diagnosis

The Wi-Fi module in the fryer has lost its network settings or is stuck. A router change or firmware glitch is common.

How to Fix It

On the fryer, hold the 'Temp' and 'Time' buttons together for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi icon flashes. This resets the network module. Delete the device from your VeSync app. Power cycle your router. Now set up the fryer as a new device in the app, using 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only.

If That Didn't Work

The Wi-Fi module's internal memory may be corrupted. Perform a full factory reset: unplug, hold the power button on the unit for 30 seconds, plug back in. Then try setup again.

Heads Up

The fryer cannot connect to 5GHz networks. Ensure your phone is on the 2.4GHz band during setup. Distance from the router matters more for appliances than phones.
