Diagnosis
The unit does not detect the baskets are properly seated. The basket detection switch is not being engaged.
How to Fix It
Remove both baskets. Look at the basket rails inside each cooking zone. You'll see a small, black plastic lever or button on the left or right side. This is the safety interlock switch. Press it a few times with your finger to ensure it moves freely. Re-insert each basket firmly until you hear a distinct click and feel it lock into place.
If That Didn't Work
Food debris or grease may be jamming the switch. Unplug the unit. Use a toothpick and isopropyl alcohol to clean around the small switch mechanism. Let it dry completely before reinserting baskets.
Heads Up
Never force the basket in. If the switch is broken, the unit will not operate. This is a safety feature to prevent operation with an open door. The switch is part of the door assembly and requires replacement if faulty.
