DIAGNOSIS The engine is overheating due to a clogged cooling air intake or a faulty oil level/temperature sensor.
FIX Clean the cooling system and check the oil sensor.
1. Let it cool. Remove the side panels.
2. Vacuum out all debris from the cylinder cooling fins and the air intake paths around the flywheel.
3. Check engine oil level. Overfilling can trigger the low-oil-pressure shutdown indirectly.
4. Ensure the yellow wire connector for the oil alert sensor (near the oil fill) is firmly attached.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The problem could be the carburetor's low-idle jet is set too lean, causing overheating. This may require a professional adjustment.
HEADS UP Never run it without the panels. They direct cooling airflow. Running without a load for long periods in Eco Mode can also cause carbon buildup.
