my hp m234dwe printer is printing really faint and has streaks. i just put in a new toner cartridge.

First, run the internal cartridge cleaning cycle.

1. Open the Embedded Web Server (EWS) in a web browser. The IP address is on a network report, or use the HP Smart app.
2. Log in if prompted (User: admin, Password is on the label inside the cartridge access door).
3. Click the System tab, then Service.
4. In the Cartridge Cleaning Mode area, click Start.

If streaks persist, print a fuser cleaning page.

1. In the same EWS Service menu, find the Fuser Cleaning mode area.
2. Click Start to begin that process.

If that didn't work, inspect the cartridge. Remove it and verify the sealing tape is gone. Check the memory chip for damage. If damaged, replace the cartridge.

Heads up: Paper dust can contaminate cartridges. Always use good quality, laser-specific paper.
