DIAGNOSIS
The LCD display has failed or become disconnected, but the main power board is still functioning. This is often a ribbon cable issue.
FIX
1. Unplug the machine from the wall outlet for 30 minutes. This allows the internal capacitors to fully discharge.
2. Plug it back in. Listen for the startup chime and observe if the display briefly flashes.
3. If the display flashes but then goes blank, a soft reset occurred. Use the remote control to operate the machine; the display may recover.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK
The issue is likely hardware-based. Check if the machine responds to the remote. If it does, the problem is isolated to the display panel/cable. A repair is necessary.
HEADS UP
Even with a blank display, the machine may still be responding to schedule timers or app commands. Always unplug it to ensure it is fully off before attempting any troubleshooting.
