DIAGNOSIS This is a classic sign of a failing LED segment or a poor connection at a specific point along the strip, often at a cut point or a sharp bend.

FIX You need to identify and isolate the faulty segment.

  • With the strip on a bright white, physically inspect along its length. You'll see a color shift at a specific LED.
  • If the strip is cut and extended, check the connector—it's likely loose or corroded. Reseat it firmly.
  • If the fault is in the middle of an uncut strip, the entire strip needs replacement under warranty.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Try gently flexing the strip at the point of color change. If the color temporarily corrects, the solder joint on that LED is broken. The strip is defective.

HEADS UP Never bend the Hue Light Strip at a 90-degree angle or tighter, especially at the marked cut lines. This stresses the internal circuits and causes this exact failure.
