my keurig classic coffee maker won't turn on at all, the power button is dead. what's wrong?

— asked by Mike

The brewer isn't getting power. Check the outlet and the circuit.

  1. Plug the brewer into its own grounded outlet. If the circuit is overloaded with other appliances, it may not function. It should be on a separate circuit if possible.
  2. Make sure the power cord is plugged in securely.
  3. Plug it into a different outlet to test.
  4. Reset the circuit breaker if necessary.
  5. If the brewer is cold or frozen, wait at least two hours for it to reach room temperature before trying to power it on.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The brewer is not user-serviceable. If there's no physical damage to the cord or plug and it's still dead, contact Keurig Customer Service at 1-866-901-BREW. Do not open the bottom cover.

HEADS UP: This appliance must be grounded using a 3-hole properly grounded outlet. Do not cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord.
